Fall Philanthropy Event

Theta Fiesta

Students love Mexican food and there was plenty of it at the second Annual Theta Fiesta. Held in October, this fund raiser was planned to raise money for Kappa Alpha Theta's local philanthropies - CASA-Voices for Children and Scotty's House.

Guests participated in a silent auction with a variety of items donated by whom? Thanks to the generosity of David Gardner's Jewelers, a beautiful David Yurman bracelet (a favorite of Thetas) was raffled off. Congratulations to Lauren Fulcher for purchasing the winning raffle ticket.

Not only was there food, but there was also live music provided by a local musician, Johnny Stimson.  "What a fun way to raise money and support our local philanthropies," said Micaela Fox. "The food was fabulous!"

Thanks to the local community, the Kappa Alpha Theta Fiesta was a tremendous success. Over 800 individuals participated in the event. "We are making plans for a bigger and better 2012 Fiesta," stated Allie Heath. Get ready for Fiesta 2012. Arriba!
