Recruitment

Dear Potential New Members,

We are absolutely thrilled about the amazing young women participating in Recruitment this August, and we cannot wait to meet every one of you! Each of us can testify that joining a sorority was one of the best decisions we made during our college years, and we are excited for the journey that lies ahead of you. Whether it is through sisterhood, scholarship, leadership, or service, our experiences in Theta have greatly impacted us and will remain a part of us for a lifetime!

[[Sisterhood]] Date parties, Sonic Happy Hour, The Bachelor, road trips are just a few opportunities where the bonds of sisterhood are strengthened, creating friendships that last a lifetime! A support system is an integral part of the ups and downs of the college experience. In becoming a member of a sorority, the bond of sisterhood becomes a solid foundation for that unending encouragement and support.

[[Scholarship]] While the transition from high school to college can be a challenge academically, sorority members are at an advantage with the help and mentorship of older girls in the chapter, officers, and advisors. Surrounded by a group of women with the same goals, standards, and values, chapter members are spurred on to excel not only in scholarship but also in life.

[[Leadership]] With so many opportunities to organize events, join committees, and hold officer positions, members gain leadership and life skills! that further develop their character as young women approaching the "real world." That encourages leadership at all ages, with officer positions beginning spring of freshman year There are several different kinds of leadership styles, whether you hold an official officer title or not.

[[Philanthropy]] In supporting our two philanthropies, Scotty's House and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), chapter members gain a sense of service in the giving of themselves for the betterment of others. Sending packages to soldiers in Iraq, volunteering at the local soup kitchen, donating food or clothes to various causes, and participating in Big Event are just a few of the opportunities that enhance the valued qualities of humility and service.

[[Lifetime]] The decision to go Greek will not only make a difference in your college years but also impact you for a lifetime. While growing, learning, and making memories together, the moments you share with your sisters will be forever cherished and close to your heart!
